Training and Assessments 


Developmental training is an integral part of each business. In the hospitality industry there is no exception with guests being well travelled, service is of utmost importance from the welcome, to the lodge orientation, the safari experience, the culinary journey and most importantly the camaraderie between guests and staff.  Perfecting this will ensure growth, inspire positivity in the workplace and ensure that word of mouth and marketing go hand in hand. 

 

Training covers the following topics:

  • First Aid Training – Courses are run over two to four-day periods and are offered with a minimum of 6 students at a time. 
  • Antipoaching basics – Powers of arrest, radio orientation, external monitoring, ambush, types of traps and tell-tale signs. Hunting dogs, fires and internal security.
  • Security courses – Grade E to A 
  • Firearm training 
  • FGASA Level 1 guiding
  • Walking Trails 
  • ARH – Advanced Rifle Handling. Please note we do also rent out a cable sled for training or for your practical assessment. 
  • Guests services and Lodge orientation
  • Basic vehicle maintenance and 4x4 skills certification
  • Reserve orientation, mapping and historical background
